Fontaine School Construction Project
Project vision shared by Gerby Seriphin (Head Pastor of Fontaine Church) - "Fontaine has a population of around 7,000 people. It is one of the poorest communities located in western Pignon. The daily salary of most people living here is under $1 and is due to the lack of an education and job opportunities. In seeing the poverty and hopelessness of children running through the streets, God gave me the vision to start a Christian elementary school by faith in 2012. The goal was to educate and preach the gospel to the most destitute of children. By faith we started this school without classrooms. The school is being held inside our church which is 30' by 45' long . With the tremendous growth of going from 30 students to over 150 students in the last 5 years, it has become incredibly difficult for us to have 8 classes meeting in the same room. It is my greatest desire to build classrooms for these 150 students, and provide the best learning environment possible. I am praying for God to provide the resources to build a school so we can continue with our positive impact on the Fontaine community. Many young children have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and I am praying that the Lord opens the door for this project to be completed as soon as possible. Matthew 7:7 and Philippians 4:4-7.
